Gone Riding with Rapha. I joined the Open Ride this weekend and explored new roads with new friends.
It’s finally summer! With weather this good, there’s only one thing to do. Go for a long ride!

Riiiiding ‘till we couldn’t no mo’
I did my first race on Sunday. It was a mixed field of category 3 and category 4 riders, and I was super nervous the week leading up to it. I wasn't getting great sleep, and I felt drained mentally. Normally I'm pretty clueless about how my races will go, so I was surprised to find that I was so worked up about this season.
I’d heard there was a race being held in Dominguez Hills, and I decided to ride there to check it out. Prior, I’d spoken with the local Rapha Cycling Club coordinator and I planned to meet him at the race today to check out the scene.
Mandeville Canyon Road is a popular climb located inland. I’d gotten several recommendations from other riders to check it out, so I figured it would be perfect for my session today.
Day 4: Cafe Ride for as long as I like!
Today ride was awesome! We saw beautiful landscapes, rode through a storm, and risked our necks going down sketchy descents.
With a full day at my disposal, it was time to get out and go exploring. Today’s plan is another 3 hour easy pace ride. I rode down Venice Boulevard towards the water, then made a right on the beach’s bike path.
