Camping with friends and having fun in the forest
Yosemite has been on my list of places to visit for a very long time. Since everyone moved west, we also wanted to find a way to reconnect. Originally, the plan was to rent a house and hang out for a weekend, but then the opportunity for some outdoor adventuring presented itself!
The river at dawn
We chose a campsite next to the river, ideal for an early morning stroll. The rocks made it easy to get to the middle to enjoy the view.
A few short hops on the rocks led to the perfect place for Kathy to set her intentions for the day. Good food? Check! Great friends? Check! Living your best life? Check!
I love being in nature.
Living in the concrete jungle it's easy to become disconnected from the natural world. Having natural, untouched spaces allow one to reconnect with nature, marvel at how wonderful it all is, and consider our own place in it.
High 5 for fun times!
Long-time friends Abe & Tre making memories in the forest. Looks like this will be an annual tradition!
Which animal could have made its home here? Kathy teaches children how to observe and be curious about the natural world, so of course she got up close and took a look inside!
Time to Cool off
As the day progressed, the temperature climbed and we came across the perfect spot to spend the afternoon
It was so nice, we ended up spending the rest of the day here. It was the perfect spot to relax, tell jokes and stories, and enjoy each other's company.
A tradition is born
We don't get to spend as much time hanging out as we used to, which is why we all jumped at the opportunity to meet in Yosemite. Before we left, we planned to meet here again next year and make this an annual tradition!
